I see that some of you are really hitting the books--you must have been the "A" students! I'm still working on my first book; if I'm going to reach Rory level, I've got to get reading. I raided my daughter's bookshelf and am now working on The Perks of Being a Wallflower, having given up on A Christmas Carol for the time being. I also found Alice in Wonderland and can't wait to read that before the movie comes out.
Speaking of movies, have you signed up for the movie mini-challenge yet? I've watching a couple now but have yet to get reviews written. There are so many movies to choose from; click on the link in the right column.

perks is definitely one of my all time favorite books. I just read it last year and am sooo disappointed that it appears to be chobsky's ONLY book! *le sigh*
ReplyDeleteI've read the first HP and posted a somewhat mini-review. I'm not good with reviews! lol I more or less write my reaction to the book, no summaries & what not. Hope that's alright! I'm reading To Kill A Mockingbird now which I believe is on the list. (I'll have to check my journal where I noted what I wanted to read for this).
ReplyDeleteI completed The Bell Jar, and am working on Great Expectations and HP & the Goblet of Fire.
ReplyDeleteI'm also going to try to read Alice in Wonderland before the movie comes out. :) I can't wait.
I need to move on - I read my first one at the beginning of the year and now have two more lined up specifically for this challenge..... I wish I would have brought one on vacation!
ReplyDeleteI've been asking alot recently, why did I choose Truman Capote first? The book is dense - though not a lot of pages - just wordy.. but I am bound and determined to get through it.. I have already adjusted my schedule so that my next book I know will be a fast read to catch up on the time crunch if I am going to try for the Rory level..
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly getting there...man I din't think I would have such a busy start to the year. But I want to be like Rory, so now it's time to get on my way.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to everyone!!!
