I've added a Mr. Linky in the side bar for you to add your reviews. Also, I've added an "About The Challenge" on the sidebar which has a link back to the list of books for easier reference. Can't wait to see what you're all reading!
I've just completed my first book - Tuesdays with Morrie. I think I may have done something weird with the Mr Linky, so apologies if it comes up twice or something strange....!
Just finished Nickel and Dimed - great non-fiction read (which I usually don't like). I hope my Mr. Linky thing works right - I agree with Kath -- weirdness
Books played a big part in the television show "The Gilmore Girls." Rory was an avid reader. When Rory and Lorelai were going to Europe, Rory wanted to bring 12 books. Mind you, she was carrying everything in a backpack. Recently, a friend sent me a link to an episode-by-episode listing of all of the books seen, read, or mentioned in the series and the idea for a challenge was born. The good news is that there should be something in this for everyone. Rory and company read everything from Homer to Dan Brown and poetry to social commentary. The challenge will officially run from January 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010. You can begin reading now and anything that you're not more than half way through right now can be counted. Crossover books from other challenges are allowed. A lot of the books on the list have also been made into movies and those will count as well. Audio books also count.
I'm a wife of 30 years and mom to three kids of my own and countless others that call me Mama. Favorite things: books, cooking, movies, music, flea markets, football and having fun with my family.
Great additions!

ReplyDeleteI started out small, haha, but it was a gret start to my challenge.
