Almost Half Way There!
How's everybody doing? Theoretically, we should be through half of the books we planned to read - I'm 1/10th. I definitely took on too many books for review in May and that graduate in the picture? I had one of those at my house. Even though the party was planned for outdoors, this is Nebraska and anything can happen at any given hour, weatherwise, so the entire house had to be cleaned, top to bottom. Whew--very proud of the kid but just as happy as he was to be done hitting the books, I was anxious to start hitting the books!
Do you summer plans involve more reading or do you find yourself having less time to read in the summer?

I have more reading planned for the summer because I don't have classes to attend or much homework to do. I'm hoping to knock out several more books on the challenge before school starts at the end of August, but I'm not going to force myself to stick with a book I'm simply not enjoying be it for the challenge or not; my whole philosophy for the summer is pleasure and leisure.
ReplyDeleteI've done only 3.. shudder! I hope to speed up over the next few months!
ReplyDeleteI'm so behind on this challenge! UGH! I'm going to try and catch up soon. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI'm actually almost halfway done! I've read 9/20, so I guess I'm doing pretty well.
ReplyDeleteAh, Hawkstar--you're putting us all to shame!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cool idea!!
ReplyDeleteI've read 2 classics, 2 young adults, 2 modern classics. So 8.
ReplyDeleteMy version of the list (because I started it as a challenge on a book forum I visit, and only just joined here) also had:
Middlesex- Jeffrey Eugenides
The Complete Polysyllabic Spree- Nick Hornby
Wicked- Gregory Maguire
Which I've read too
